What The Hell Does Moksha Mean?
As our mission states we wanted to find a word that represents the whole reason people choose to ride a motorcycle. To escape the chaotic world around us. Sure there are many styles of riding...trials, motocross, adventure, drag racing, etc. but we all ride for the same reason. We wanted to find a word that epitomized freedom, release, joy and bliss. of course the word Nirvana would do but I'm pretty sure it will always be associated with that kick ass rock band from the early 90's. Still most people are familiar with the meaning. So in searching for a synonym to Nirvana, the word Moksha was found.

Moksha's Big Bellied MascotBuddha is an icon of peace & bliss yet he can easily be fashioned into a big bellied biker. We wanted our mascot to represent our name Moksha and the reason people are drawn to the biker lifestyle to begin with. For stress relief, a sense of release and freedom, a sense of community, brotherhood and charity. Yet we didn't want to be associated with any religion.
Thus, the Bad Buddha Biker is born. Our Buddha biker is big & burley on the outside yet a teddy bear on the inside. He judges no one, is always there to lend a hand and is a fierce friend. But trust me, no one is a saint. Buddha Biker enjoys his bike, his bourbon, a fine cigar and even finer women. And watch out! His Zen mannerism gets thrown out the window if you mess with his brotherhood.

Why does the laughing Buddha have a big belly?
The image of the Laughing Buddha is based on a wandering Chinese monk, Budai, who lived centuries ago. The statue’s plump figure and benign countenance suggest contentment, magnanimity and plenitude. Folklore has it that rubbing his pot belly brings good fortune and wealth.
But he’s more than just a good luck charm favored by Chinese restaurateurs and businessmen. The Laughing Buddha’s big belly is a symbol of tolerance; also, that prosperity and wealth can go hand-in-hand with Moksha or bliss.
